Very quiet day for me and Lenny, puddling around at home, watching videos, making lego, eating a ton of rice crackers with peanit butter, and a delicious chocloate pudding that I found in a supermarket.
At 4pm Lenny went downstairs with our neighbours, Lisa and Maddy, and then went to pick up Ethan from TES. This was Lenny's chance to check out the school before his test on Tuesday, and he got to watch Ethan playing football. While he did this, Michael and I scooted down to Avenues to do some shopping and organise cable. We also got a refund on a dodgy scooter we had bought on the weekend, and we are also organising a refund for 3 nights at the Holiday Inn in Paris. We also found out we were fortunate to get a refund from KES for almost the full amount we paid. That was very reasonable of the school, and we are quite relieved. It's funny, I feel a little sad myself, that it didn't work out there - amidst all of the confusion and drama and the trip to Paris, we were developing a negative opinion of the school which I now realise is not really fair. I'm sure if we had stuck to it, it would have worked out fine. My mistake was moving too quickly, making too many fast and uninformed decisions. So we have nothing against the school, but I do think Lenny will be much happier in himself at The English School, even though the chances of him learning Arabic are pretty remote. The dream, as usual, is my dream, not his!
